can you believe that this painting was painted ca 1450?? it has something strangely contemporary about it. maybe it's the clear lines, the vivid colours.. or the fact that the cherubs seems to be wearing latex.. there's a plastic/rubber artificialness about this painting that i wouldn't expect to find in such an old painting - and thus i'm even more pleased to find it, - i like things that aren't as i expected ;)ooops i totally forgot to name the artist the first time i posted this; the artist is jean fouquet.
his other paintings are more ordinary and not as special and cool as this one, google image search him if you're curious!
